QB UPEC

è un sistema di classificazione funzionale

che certifica se un determinato prodotto da

pavimentazione sia adeguato all’utilizzo in una

particolare destinazione d’uso per una durata

sufficiente e ragionevole.

La certificazione francese QB UPEC assicura che i

prodotti siano conformi, in base ai test previsti dalla

normativa europea EN14411, e che possiedano le

caratteristiche d’uso definite nel disciplinare CSTB.

Secondo la logica di funzionamento del sistema

UPEC ogni locale privato, commerciale o pubblico

a prevalente traffico pedonale è classificato sulla

base delle sollecitazioni cui

è verosimilmente

sottoposto durante il normale utilizzo in base a

quattro fattori. Le quattro lettere della sigla UPEC,

infatti, indicano rispettivamente le specifiche

tecniche per la classificazione dei rivestimenti

ceramici per pavimenti.

P: resistenza meccanica agli spostamenti di

oggetti mobili e fissi

E: comportamento in presenza di acqua

C: resistenza agli agenti chimici correnti

che ne attribuisce l’idoneità alla posa nei diversi

QB UPEC is a classification system that certifies

whether a flooring product is suitable for use

in a particular setting for a sufficient and

reasonable time.

This French certificate ensures that products meet

the requirements of the EN 14411 standard and

have the characteristics established in the CSTB

specifications. According to the UPEC system,

every private, commercial, or public space with

high foot traffic is classified based on the stress

it is likely to be subjected to and, in particular,

the following four factors, each represented by

a letter in UPEC:

U: foot traffic wear resistance

P: resistance to mechanical stress caused by fixed

and moveable furnishings

E: water resistance

C: chemical resistance

sicher, dass die Produkte die von der europäischen
